A 15 Year NEO Journey…
My son, Travis and his wife, Emily were married in 2021 after dating for almost 15 years. Their love story began when they were just 15 and 16 years old in the small town of Garrettsville. Over the years, many of their favorite places are in Downtown Cleveland so it was only natural that they would want to be married there. They were originally scheduled to be married in the fall of 2020, but due to the pandemic, their three-day wedding event shifted to the Summer of 2021. All guests stayed at The Hilton Cleveland Downtown, where my husband and I hosted the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening. On Saturday morning, one suite was occupied by the groom and his crew, and the larger suite was occupied by the bride and her attendants. They were married in the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, their reception was held at Nuevo Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar overlooking the water, and a Farewell brunch at the hotel was hosted by the bride’s parents on Sunday. The bride and groom reside out of state, so 75% of their guests travel from out of town and the remaining 25 percent live approximately and hour away. I share this story on this review to put things into perspective.
The Studio Salon Group was everything you could have imagined and/or needed for any type of wedding. I went to the owner of this salon personally because not only is she one of the best in the industry, with a resume to prove it, but because every guest matters to her and they always have. Regardless of your budget they have something to offer for every bride. Her Garrettsville location did the hair and make up for two backyard weddings at our home, in 2011 and 2013. They also did the hair and make up for Emily’s sister when she was married in a private ceremony in 2019. For this event, having four salon locations mattered and the Wedding Manger opened time blocks at every single location to accommodate all wedding guests that needed services ranging from manicures, pedicures, hair, make-up, wax, tanning, whatever, this studio team focused on what the guests needed. With so many locations, stylists, and services to choose from, it was top notch and seamless for everyone.
We originally booked out the Downtown Salon but with date change from 2020 to 2021, it was no longer an option for the timeframe and number of guests in the wedding party. Before I could panic about trying to find hair and make-up for almost 15 people, they came to us the day of the wedding. Here is how amazing The Studio Salon Group truly is.
On the Monday before the wedding, I was able to get hair extensions for the occasion done by the owner of the salon so the hair style I wanted to wear for my son’s wedding was achievable. I was even able to get a last-minute manicure and pedicure.
The bride came into to town on the Wednesday before the wedding and wanted to change her wedding hairstyle at the last minute (she had met with her stylist 8 weeks prior). Since we live in Garrettsville, her stylist came in early to that salon location and worked through the new look until the bride was happy.
My parents arrived on Thursday and my mom’s hair needed to be colored and cut. I reached out to the Garrettsville location to see if I could book something. On Friday before heading to the Cleveland wedding festivities, the owner came in early and not only colored and styled my mom’s hair for the rehearsal dinner, but she styled mine as well.
Saturday morning, a team of stylists and make up artists set up in the bridal suite and spent the day making everyone gorgeous. One of the stylists even offered to stay late to assist any last-minute wedding guests.
Also on Saturday, and the week leading up to the wedding, all salon locations attended to guests who had pre-booked services via the information posted on the wedding website for a discounted rate.
There were almost 50 rooms booked by wedding guests and we occupied both hotel suites. Each hotel guest received a welcome box of goodies and various products from the Bride and Groom. We were able to get bulk mini products from the salon ahead of time to make the guest boxes not only more affordable but extremely luxurious.
The bride was also able to get some makeup bags for touchups, based off of what each attendant selected for their day of look.
Expertise and professionalism matter when planning a once in a lifetime event. I cannot put into words just how extraordinary the Studio Salon Group was for this occasion. Yes, funds were spent due to the magnitude of this three-day event and the number of services, locations, and guests involved but that is not what is important in this review. What’s important is that we had so many options to choose from because we chose this salon group. I also want to note, that there was just as much expertise and professionalism dedicated to Emily’s sister’s wedding and she was the only person getting her hair, nails, and make-up done. Weddings are naturally stressful, and not only do you want to look beautiful, but you want feel beautiful. The Studio Salon Group certainly achieved that and so much more. Thank you Rachelle for transforming the industry with your vision, expertise, passion, and love. The Studio Salon Group truly is one of kind.
